Hi, just wanted to quickly give you the latest on WeNano and WeNano Business as we are just now pushing an update to both apps. This update mainly aims at improving how businesses can connect with WeNano in some new ways.
When WeNano Business was initially released it offered a way for business owners to display their business on the WeNano map, have a Spot for letting customers get small payouts for visiting them and run promotions where they could sell a limited amount of a product or a service for a limited time.
With this update of WeNano Business we allow for more ways for business owners to promote their business, connect with customers and receive payments.
Posters
Businesses will be able to upload images that will work as posters for the business. This could be their menu, special items they sell for nano, a short time sale or perhaps an upcoming event/meetup at the location.
Customer Chat
Some businesses has expressed the wish to be able to communicate with their customers via the app. Now you can have private chats with your customers, as well as sending and receiving tips within the chat. It is a great way to let your customers reach out with any questions before visiting, for instance to book a table or an appointment, questions about the product ++. We really think this can be a useful tool for both businesses and WeNano users.
TipWall
Every business now has a TipWall. The TipWall is a place for customers to send tips to the business and at the same time letting other people know how much you liked their product or service. If you don’t want your tip to be public, you can opt to tip privately as well
Payment
This is one of the hardest challenges, and something we have struggled with how to best solve. Of course having a full fledged Point of Sale feature in WeNano Business would be really helpful, but that is also a feature that requires a ton of work, and we believe there are other products available for nano that does this a lot better than us.
But we still wanted an easy to use and flexible way for anyone with a Nano wallet to pay a WeNano Business, so we have added a few different options for how to do this.
Every Business now has a new unique six figured ID called WID. This ID makes it easy for customers using WeNano to find and pay to a business directly from the wallet.
We have also now a functionality where Businesses can generate a payment request entering either an amount in Nano or their local currency. This will display a QR-code that any compatible Nano wallet can scan and that includes the account and the amount.
Additional Info
We have also added some fields for businesses to add info to let customers know more about them, including links to other social accounts, their opening hours and a contact email.
